Grace Covenant Church is a non-denominational church with reformed baptist convictions, located in Beavercreek, Ohio. We have a strong family atmosphere with close, loving church relationships. We emphasize the five solas of the Reformation and the centrality of the Word in worship.

Our Purpose & Mission

Grace Covenant Church exists to attain “Unity to Maturity in Christ.”

“And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers,  to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,” Ephesians 4:11-13

What is the Gospel?

The gospel is the good news about Jesus.  But we cannot receive good news unless we find ourselves in a bad situation.  And that bad situation is what we’ve put ourselves in with our sin.  God created the world for us to live and flourish in according to His design and plan.  But, in various and numerous ways, we have rejected God in our lives and we are in a state of rebellion against Him fully deserving of His judgment and wrath in hell.

But the good news is that Jesus died on the cross, defeating our sin and its consequence of death by rising from the grave.  And in so doing, God considered the righteous life and crucifixion of Christ as a substitute for the death that we deserve.  In repenting of your sin and by having faith that Jesus died for you, you can be restored in your relationship with Him, empowered to live a life that is pleasing to God.

What is the Church?

The Church is the Body of Christ. It is the Household of God that is "called-out" to display God's glory to all the nations. God chose this select group before the foundation of the world, so He sent His Son to be the Perfect Sacrifice to secure their eternal life. Apart from full and complete identity in Christ and devotion to the Word of God, the Church ceases to be what God intended. Faithfulness to the truth determines the clarity of the Gospel proclaimed by any local expression of the Church.

"And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers." Acts 2:42

What is GCC's Identity as a Local Church?

Grace Covenant Church seeks to reflect the mind and person of Jesus Christ in all she does. We are first and foremost Christians, those set apart as holy and called to make disciples of all the nations. God has determined this, not us.

Therefore, in this sense we are not different than every other true local church. Every ministry, both personal and corporate, comes under the same scrutiny of the word of God. Passionately seeking the lost is the result of humble and faithful obedience to gospel. While cultural and social realities play a role in the shape of this ministry, they are servants of the eternal word that is settled in the heavens.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35

The Five Solas

We emphasize the “Five Solas” of the Protestant Reformation as foundational principles for our faith and our constant mindset in ministry.

Soli Deo Gloria – Our lives are for God’s glory alone.

Sola Scriptura – Our authority is Scripture alone.

Sola Gratia – Our salvation is by grace alone.

Sola Fida – Our justification is received through faith alone.

Solus Christus – Our hope is in Christ alone.
